Adelaide Oval breaks attendance records

A total of 1,729,362 people attended AFL, cricket, soccer, SANFL, NRL, concerts and other events at Adelaide Oval in 2017 smashing the previous record of 1,592,932 set in 2015.
New attendance records were also set for concerts, AFL and cricket matches.
More than 70,000 people jammed into Adelaide Oval to see Adele perform, setting a new record for a concert crowd. More people attended the historic day/night Ashes test than any other test match at the oval with a record crowd of 199,760 over five days. AFL at Adelaide Oval also surpassed its highest annual attendance, setting a new record of 1,026,622 for season 2017.
Since the redevelopment was completed in 2014, more than 7 million people have attended events at the oval.
More than 700,000 people have also visited the oval for functions, to take a tour, visit the Bradman Museum or do the Roof Climb walk.
Adelaide Oval has received 43 state, national and international awards since its redevelopment including an award for excellence in structural design by the Institution of Structural Engineers in London and Event of the Year for the 2016 Hyundai A-League Grand Final between Adelaide United and the Western Sydney Wanderers by The Stadium Business Awards.
